Academic Excellence Meets Hockey Fun! Get a Head Start on Your Future with Our Summer Program for Grade 9 to 11.

Peak Centre Academy (PCA) is proud to announce its Reach Ahead summer program for students entering grades 9, 10, or 11 for the 2023/2024 school year. This exciting opportunity offers students the chance to fast-track their education and lighten their course load in senior high school.

Youth Hockey Player

The Reach Ahead program will take place during the month of July and will consist of three credit courses: Civics (CHV20), Career Studies (GLC20), and Media Studies (EMS30). Civics and Career Studies are half-credit courses that are required for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, while Media Studies is a full-credit elective course with a prerequisite of Gr. 10 English.

The Civics course will explore the rights and responsibilities of being an active citizen in a democratic society, while the Career Studies course will teach students how to develop personal goals for future learning, work, and community involvement. The Media Studies course will emphasize the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and use media effectively and responsibly.

In addition to these academic offerings, PCA is also planning to include a fitness and hockey component to bookend each academic day. This will provide students with a well-rounded summer experience that combines both physical and intellectual growth.

Space is limited, so please email squinn@peakcentre.ca to confirm your interest.

Don't miss out on this opportunity for your child to 'fast track' their education and set themselves up for success in senior high school and beyond.
