Peak Centre and Peak Centre Academy have recently announced that their Ottawa operations will be moving to a new location within the city. Both the Centre and the Academy are known for their success in developing top athletes such as, most recently, the 3rd overall draft pick in the NHL, Mason McTavish, and many more.
On September 1, 2021, Peak Centre and Peak Centre Academy will open its doors on the ground floor of 340 Terry Fox Drive in Kanata, adjacent to the Marshes Golf Club.
“We’re excited to welcome all of the guests to our new location, which offers a refined and upgraded space for our clients and students,” expressed Ken Brunet, Exercise Physiologist and Co-Owner of Peak. “The new space will offer an enhanced experience for all, and will enable us to continue helping world-class athletes reach their maximum performance potential through science.”
The facility will be the new home for Peak’s well-established physiology lab and training centre. “Our lab allows us to conduct hundreds of different assessment types in order to accurately measure your body’s specific response to exercise,” Ken explains. “Because our programs are based in actual science and data, we’re able to take the guesswork out of how to train efficiently and effectively to ensure our clients reach their performance goals as fast as possible.”
Peak Centre's protocols are used by professional and Olympic athletes and teams, but can be applied for achieving general fitness goals as well. “The ability to eliminate the guesswork is not only for elite athletes; it works extremely well for any fitness goal for those seeking weight loss or taking part in recreational sports," adds Ken.
The new grounds also boast an outdoor soccer field, beach volleyball court and is just a short drive from several skating rinks in the area.
